JB Outdoor

We couldn't be happier with our new deck! Jim Barry and the JB Outdoors team were fantastic to work with from start to finish. They were friendly, reliable, professional, and communicated well throughout the project. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and their creative ideas made the finished deck even better than we imagined. We've already had so many compliments! If you're looking for an honest, trustworthy team that delivers a high-quality result, we highly recommend JB Outdoors.

I recently completed an owner-builder project in my backyard, which included a pool, decking, privacy screening, a pool fountain, and a modern cabana with a small bathroom. I reached out to JB Outdoor in Port Kembla for a quote, and from the start, Barry was fantastic. He brought great ideas to the table for the cabana design and was always clear, concise, and transparent—especially when it came to contracts and building insurance requirements. Honestly, I’m not sure how the project would have come together without their expertise. They coordinated reliable, high-quality trades—from concreters to tilers—which made the entire process run smoothly from start to finish. Their creativity really stood out. The way the decking flows seamlessly from the house to the pool area, ending with a beautifully constructed water fountain, is stunning. The addition of feature posts enhances the overall look, while the frameless glass pool fencing blends perfectly with the surrounding privacy screening. The cabana is a standout feature. Adding skylights was a brilliant idea—it completely transforms the space with natural light and makes it such a relaxing place to sit in the afternoons. There were also plenty of finishing touches I couldn’t manage myself, and the team stepped in without hesitation—installing the TV, adding heating, shelving, and more, all without any extra charge. I highly recommend JB Outdoor to anyone considering outdoor improvements or renovations. Feel free to contact me via Messenger if you’d like more feedback.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We spent $17000 on a pergola built by these cowboys. The fall of the gutter was wrong, leaving water to pool at the opposite end of the downpipe. After dozens of calls to both owners & promises of “I’ll come round this arvo” and “I’ll swing by in the morning and have a look” we are now even further out of pocket to have the issue rectified by a real professional. The mesh in our screen door was also torn which we were assured would be replaced or compensated yet we are still waiting for either of these to occur. I would not recommend this business.

JB Outdoor did an amazing job with our pergola area. They were very neat and tidy and always polite. Recommend them to anyone.

Barry, Jim and the lads did an amazing job with our car port. Very punctual and well priced. The finished product was of a high quality and the site was spotless at the end of the day. Thanks again JB Outdoor. Would recommend 100%
