Matthews Joinery & Kitchen Centre has built a reputation in Ballarat for detailed cabinetry and kitchen work, and reviewers consistently highlight the standard of the finished product. Customers in several reviews describe renovations that still look new years after installation, alongside custom cupboards, laundry storage and large shelving units. A recurring theme is the thoroughness of the design and quoting stage: Rod is named for outlining options patiently, including sourcing sample handles and working through a custom colour, while Andrew is praised for practical advice and clear communication during kitchen design.

Reviewers repeatedly mention that measurements and preparation before installation were precise, with units fitting together as intended and levels checked carefully. The installation crews are described as efficient, friendly and tidy, taking care with unusual requests and leaving spaces clean. Honest pricing and the willingness to answer questions, even returning months later to adjust cabinetry for a dishwasher, come up often. Clients also value the depth of trade experience and the collaborative approach, noting that expectations were set clearly and the team remained easy to deal with from first enquiry through to completion.
