They were reliable, turned up on time, communicated clearly throughout the job, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. It’s hard to find trades who take this much pride in their work these days. The finished result looks amazing and was completed on schedule and within budget. Would definitely use Stephead Carpentry
AVOID - We paid $4000 for new front steps - we were not told to seal the steps within 48 hours to avoid the timber treads warping and curling - this information is buried in the contract (clause 12). NEVER verbalised - kind of important information to know! The stairs hold so much water due to warping and curling- they will need to be replaced and they are less than 9 months old. The builder installed beautiful back stairs - not an issue! When I mentioned that the back stairs have not curled and were not sealed within 48 he advised that we were ‘lucky’ to have used good timber. When purchasing stairs with 7 treads for $4000 I would have assumed I was paying for quality timber. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Needed new front stair handrails. Stepahead were quick to visit site, provided a detailed drawing, and quoted the job at a fair price. Great communication via email. Job was perfect, exactly what I needed. Thanks Stepahead, couldn't recommend you highly enough!
Absoulte rubbish, paid 18k for the stairs, the installer couldn’t read their own design, had to revisit the job site on numerous of occasions just to fix the flaws & defects, the owner Josh couldn’t give a dam about issuing mandatory form 43 safety certificate after work completion! He insisted $495 additional fees must be paid before they could release the form. Avoid at all cost
Excellent stair company choices. Especially assistant 「Scott」, He provided very good advice and expertise. The installers were also very polite and professional. Highly recommend Stepahead Carpentry👍
