Sunshine Coast Creative Carpentry

Sunshine Coast Creative Carpentry is based in Maroochy River on the Sunshine Coast and services the Sunshine Coast and Noosa District. Alex, the principal, moved to Australia in 1999. He worked on construction projects in Hong Kong, including the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre, and as a dry plasterer in Sydney on residential and commercial construction. From around 2010, he concentrated on residential carpentry.

The business has 25 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction sectors. Alex is a licensed dry plasterer. Carpentry services include new projects, repairs, alterations, decks, pergolas, screens, shutters, window and door installation, internal fix-out, partition walls, structural framing, roof framing, truss installation, floor and sub-floor installation, external cladding, and minor concreting works.

Internal remodelling, structural framing, cladding and fixout work recur throughout the feedback for this Sunshine Coast carpentry practice, with the standard of the finished result described as outstanding. Alex is the tradesperson named most often, and reviewers frequently note his punctuality, courtesy and organised, clean approach on site. Fair and transparent pricing is another theme that comes up often, with quotes described as competitive and the agreed cost holding firm even when a job turns out to be more involved than first anticipated. Several customers record that older houses brought out-of-level and out-of-plumb difficulties which were met confidently rather than treated as a drama.

Communication before and during the work draws consistent praise, as does the readiness to make adjustments mid-project and work through problems as they emerge. The work described ranges from decks and kitchen cabinet repairs through to sliding barn door and front door installation and replacement of rotted fascia. Dan is also named for cabinet work. Reviewers describe an easy-going, hard-working crew that takes time to grasp what is wanted, and many mention returning for further projects. Interior remodelling with careful fixout is the work most often discussed.
