Toowoomba cabinet maker, home builder and shopfitter Wayne Mahony is the subject of two strongly negative accounts. Both describe a builder who became impossible to reach, with calls, messages and emails going unanswered after work began, and both connect that loss of contact to a build that ran six months past its agreed date.
The recurring concerns are faults appearing throughout the home, infrastructure charges left unpaid as specified in the contract, and sub-contractors who went without payment. A dispute over the build led to the QBCC becoming involved. Wayne Mahony's associate, Darryl Sondergeld, is also named, and both accounts caution against engaging either man.

Impossible to contact- put me thousands of dollars out. Multiple defects throughout the home he “attempted” to build. Had to get QBCC involved. He didn’t pay the infrastructure charges on my property- as specified in contract, nor did he pay any sub contractors on the job. Do not use Wayne or associates “Darryl Sondergeld” ever. Not worth the years of hassle.
Wayne is impossible to contact. Never answers my phone calls, messages or emails. Went 6 months over our build date. Never paid the infrastructure charges, I'm left thousands out of pocket and I can't do anything about it. Words can't express the distaste I have for this man. DO NOT USE THIS BUILDER!!
