Exact Carpentry & Handyman Service

Exact Carpentry & Handyman Service is a local carpentry and handyman business based in Launceston, owned by Adam Stetin. The owner has more than four decades of hands-on experience in carpentry, spanning boatbuilding, fine joinery, heritage restoration, and modern carpentry. His journey began in Poland in the early 1980s and continued through thirty years in Sweden before moving to Tasmania.

The business is fully insured. The service area includes Launceston, West Tamar, and the Northern Midlands, within a 50–60km radius. Services include carpentry and renovation, custom joinery and furniture repairs, decking and outdoor carpentry, heritage renovation, rot repair and timber repairs, and timber window restoration.

Reliability paired with genuine craftsmanship is the theme that surfaces most often in feedback about this Launceston carpenter. Adam is named time and again, with customers describing him as prompt, courteous and approachable, listening carefully before offering suggestions about what would suit the space. Several reviewers describe quotes as fair and jobs as finishing within budget, whether the work involves fitting a door, building custom cabinetry, upgrading a kitchen or replacing a rotted bay window in a century-old home. Repeat clients note that he works steadily on his own, treating awkward or asymmetrical timber with care, and that results meet a consistently good standard.

Tidiness comes up frequently, with rooms handed back in good order and sites cleared once the task is done. An observation shared by more than one reviewer is his persistence in seeing a project through even when time runs short. One account highlights stripping out an old wardrobe and beam before framing, plastering, painting and hanging new doors and hardware, showing the breadth of work undertaken. Advice offered during a job is valued, and customers describe having him on their property as pleasant and respectful, resulting in repeat bookings and referrals.
