Independent Cabinetmaker

Derek is amazing, fast efficient friendly and reliable. He built our whole kitchen for our recently flooded house, as well as bathroom cabinets. His prices are fair and the finished product was perfect.

Derek and his team were fantastic in building our new kitchen. Derek provided detailed plans, advice and was adaptive and creative when our suggestions did not fit with the space we had. Derek was very communicative throughout the design, build and installation, to ensure the end product was exactly what was planned and wanted. After using it for 2 weeks, it has the perfect workflow where nothing is more than one or two steps from the stove/oven when I cook. A far cry from our old 80's kitchen. Thankyou Derek and your team!

We had a wonderful experience working with Derek designing our new kitchen, bedroom cupboards and bathroom/ laundry and working our ideas with Derek was a pleasure, he is so professional and accommodating and patient. Would highly recommend using him, his workmanship is another level above perfection.

Dereks knowledge and professionalism is unmatched. He made the entire process very easy. Excellent communication and excellent value for money. Our kitchen was from 1988. Now we have the kitchen of our dreams.

From original quote to completion Derek made my kitchen renovation flow with ease in a very professional and prompt manner. He was in constant communication with both myself and other relevant trades throughout the process. I highly recommend Independent Cabinetmaker to anyone considering a kitchen renovation.

Derek fixed a job for me recently and it was a bit of a stuff around job as my cabinet colour had been discontinued!! He went above and beyond to try to get the exact colour and when he couldn’t, he made an extra trip to my house to do a colour match. He is extremely professional, honest, friendly and nothing was too much for him. I highly recommend his work. His attention to detail is impeccable and his craftsmanship is flawless. Only wish I had found him when we did the whole kitchen! Thanks so much Derek.

Derek from the business 'Independent Cabinetmaker' was great to deal with. I required a new bathroom cabinet to replace one that was water damaged. He responded to my call, made a time to come and give me a quote. He was on time, and asked questions in order to fully understand what I wanted. He told me when I would receive his quote, and it arrived when he said. The quote was thorough and, I felt, a very reasonable price. After agreeing to go ahead, Derek explained the timeframe. He again delivered on time. His workmanship and attention to detail was admirable. We are thrilled with our new cabinet, which completely transforms our bathroom. I would recommend 'Independent Cabinetmaker'. If you appreciate professionalism, attention to detail and delivery on time, you won't be disappointed.
