OTJ Building Tas

OTJ Building Tas is an owner-operated building company. Oscar Tregaskis-Jago is the director and licensed builder. He spent more than 11 years training and working as a qualified carpenter. He has held Certified Passive House tradesperson qualification for over three years. It is also a pro clima Trained Installer for airtightness and weatherproofing systems. OTJ Building Tas builds in Launceston and surrounding suburbs, and Bridport and surrounding suburbs.

It works on architecturally designed homes across Tasmania. Services include custom architectural builds, certified Passive House, heritage restoration, major renovations, extensions, and kitchen and bathroom services. The company uses formal pricing and a clear variation process. It maintains an organised, clean site with tools cleaned and put back and materials protected. Oscar Tregaskis-Jago founded Assetro, a web platform and mobile app for asset management.

Launceston-based OTJ Building Tas undertook a renovation that the client describes as efficiently managed, with Oscar, named in the feedback, coordinating the trades involved. The same account notes he returned to the property after hours when a leak appeared, helping to solve the problem and arrange its repair.

Oscar is portrayed as approachable and clearly committed to building quality homes, and he kept the work progressing even with young children nearby, managing to make them laugh. The company's listing covers deck building, bathroom and kitchen remodelling, garage and home construction, and building consultancy, so work of this kind fits its stated remit across residential projects in the region.
