WE R Carpentry

WE R Carpentry is a carpentry business based in Sydney's Inner West, operating for over 10 years. Emile Roumeliotis is the founder and business owner. He followed in the footsteps of his father, a builder, and began his apprenticeship at a young age. The business is fully licensed and insured, carrying comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation. It mostly services the Inner West of Sydney, and client referrals take it to other areas including the Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs. The business works with owner builders and homeowners on new and existing homes.

It specialises in custom joinery, heritage restoration, and structural carpentry. Main services include structural carpentry, decking, fencing and cladding, remedial works, doors, windows and fitouts, outdoor spaces, and owner-builder support. The business offers maintenance services for previous projects, including regular maintenance checks. It uses responsibly sourced timber and eco-friendly materials wherever possible. A free, personalised carpentry consultation is offered. Any changes to the original scope are discussed with the client first and documented in writing, with no additional work undertaken without approval.

Renovations of ageing Sydney properties and structural repairs form the backdrop to the feedback for WE R Carpentry, with several customers describing projects that began as daunting prospects. Emile is named repeatedly, whether for inspecting and quoting on fascia and beam replacement, rebuilding railings and balustrades, or rescuing a rear extension after another builder's missteps. Reviewers repeatedly mention the quality of the finished result, from complex framing in a century-old terrace to the transformation of a termite-damaged semi into a family home that incorporates recycled materials.

An aspect raised across a number of reviews is reliability: punctuality, steady communication as scope changed, and a willingness to work in confined spaces without fuss. Fair, transparent pricing is praised, along with the absence of surprise charges when water damage and a leaking roof required investigation and revised solutions. Tidiness after the job and consideration for households with young children also feature. Sam is named for returning to address a squeak that developed in a floor after the team had departed, an example of the follow-through customers highlight. Craftsmanship and honest advice round out the accounts.
