ACT Decks

GOOGONG POOL INSTALL & ALFRESCO ENCLOSURE Spent over $200k with these guys getting a 5.3m pool installed and enclosed alfresco. They weren’t the cheapest quote we got, but the peace of mind of a project manager and access to all the trades in one supplier was appealing. The reality is the pool was practically completed in November and it’s now end of April the following year and it’s still not certified. We have spent 5 months trying to call, text, WhatsApp, email - continuing to ask - are you coming back to finish the job? Are we still on your radar? A lot of promised dates to return and a lot of no shows with no communication. Our project never had temporary fencing which was a massive risk with our 4 and 6 year old children despite asking the project manager multiple times. The experience is filled with empty promises or requests just ignored. The best communication you’ll get from a Project Manager is requesting an invoice to be paid. In January we stupidly paid the practical completion only retaining $1k despite the pool not certified and touchups not complete. It’s now end of April, pool is still not certified. Shop around if you’re looking for a pool, I hope this saves another family from a horrible experience. So many regrets.

We've just had a deck and pergola completed by ACT Decks and are really happy with the whole process, and thrilled with the end result. The head of ACT Decks, Xavier, personally worked through the designs with us and was happy to alter them to suit our requirements. He also sourced an amazing cedar hot tub to build into the deck. Aaron the project manager was on site most days of the build, to check in with us and make sure everything was up to spec. The team on site was really professional, good communicators, and take obvious pride in their work - thanks Mick, Tyrone and Diego for the initial construction, and Andy, Ryan and Jane for full completion. The circular cedar hot tub was assembled by the team, and inbuilt to the deck perfectly. If any design/build challenges came up, they always consulted with us to pick the best solution, which we really appreciated. The end result is exactly what we envisaged, and we're enjoying using it.

Xavier is a pleasure to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions and provide really clear advice and suggestions along the way. He is responsive, professional and easy to work with :) !! They’ve got our future business

After reading the reviews, I decided to go with this business to replace 30 square metres of decking on a property we have just moved into. I called a week ago to organize a quote. The girl who took my call didn't seem that interested, told me she would pass on my details to make a time which never happened. Looks like we'll be going with another company.

We asked them for a quote, they sent an email with a list of questions. After we provided the information, they replied telling us they don’t want to take on our job. I guess they charge their current clients enough to refuse new work. Just fyi for potential new clients.

We've had our new deck by ACT Decks now for over two months and it's simply outstanding. So much better than anything we've had before. Brighter, lighter, cooler, more functional, more weatherproof everything. These guys are the goods

I recently had a deck and pergola built by ACT Decks, and the entire experience was outstanding. The team demonstrated excellent project management skills and maintained clear communication throughout the process. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship were evident in the final result. The deck and pergola were completed on time and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend ACT Decks for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space with professional craftsmanship.
