Pinnacle Custom Design

Pinnacle Custom Design is a cabinet maker based in Orange, NSW, and has been in the furniture industry for over 30 years. The business operates in the Mt Canobolas region of central west NSW. It builds furniture to customer specifications using the customer's timber or other materials. It creates custom furniture and kitchens.

It offers stained and finished furniture to match existing furniture, and painted finishes using polyurethane paints, with the ability to match most colour charts. It supplies and fits glass splash backs painted in a colour of the customer's choice. The business has planted over 400 exotic cabinet timber trees on its property, including Oak, Ash, Cedar, Fir and Black Walnut.

Bespoke cabinetry and custom-made furniture by Peter are central to feedback for this Orange operation, which also appears under the furniture maker label. Repeat commissions across multiple homes feature in customer accounts, pointing to confidence earned over successive projects. The standard of the finished product recurs as a theme, with cabinetry called sturdy and precisely made, and a contemporary dining table for a compact apartment likened to a work of art. Care taken in the making, and the time allowed for a well-finished result, are also remarked upon, together with a feeling that the work represents sound value against what comparable bespoke pieces would cost elsewhere.

Peter is named frequently and described as professional yet friendly, approachable and open to suggestions, indicating a cooperative process from early discussion to handover. Commissioning a mantel shelf or fitted cabinetry appears to leave customers satisfied with what they receive. The thread running through the accounts is made-to-measure work shaped around the space, from tables and cabinets through to full joinery installations, finished with patience and close attention to detail, which is where the feedback settles.
